Carry water without fighting your stride

The Ridge system placed its two-liter reservoir horizontally and high on the back. The original design aimed to keep the runner's shoulders neutral and allow a natural forward lean.

Horizontal hydration

The reservoir sits across the upper back instead of hanging vertically down the spine.

Weather protection

The archived pack used waterproof, breathable Polartec NeoShell fabric to protect carried gear.

A main gear compartment and smartphone pouch covered the essentials without unnecessary structure.

Made by an endurance athlete

Ridge Group was established in 2017 by engineer and endurance athlete Jon Espeland. His background included marathons, trail races, an Ironman, bicycle touring, and an Appalachian Trail thru-hike.
